How can building relationships across generations strengthen our communities and improve healthcare? Join us for this Cooper Conversation as we explore how intergenerational mentorship and volunteering programs foster belonging among older adults while preparing future clinicians for compassionate, empathetic care.
A panel of local experts will discuss the impact of meaningful engagement with older adults, highlighting how these connections benefit both patients and healthcare providers. This event connects to this year’s E.N. Thompson Forum on World Issues theme, “Belonging: Finding Connection in a Lonely World,” and is hosted in collaboration with Future Healers.
This conversation will feature:
- Mollie George, M.A., MLS (ASCP), CDP, CMDCP - UNO/UNL Department of Gerontology
- Jenna White, MA, MSW, LCSW - UNO Department of Gerontology
- Elizabeth Schuster, Aging Services Supervisor, City of Lincoln - Aging Partners
Our guests will share their insights in a panel format and then continue the conversation through Q&A with attendees. Open to all students!
