This application will allow interested students to apply to join the Honors Program Student Advisory Board AND/OR the Honors Ambassadors.
The Honors Program Student Advisory Board (HPSAB) represents the voice of the Honors students in the University Honors Program. We make recommendations to the Honors Program Director, Faculty, and Staff to improve the Honors Program experience through community bonding, networking, and the discussion of the academic needs of Honors students. The board meets on Wednesdays at 5:00 p.m. during the academic year. Board members are expected to attend all meetings and participate in board-sponsored events, as well as facilitate Honors Program student office hours.
The Honors Ambassadors serve to inform prospective and current students about the Honors Program. Activities include speaking with families and prospective students, serving on student panels, facilitating tours of Neihardt, and representing the Honors Program at other University and community events. Each semester, members are required to attend 5 Honors Ambassador meetings, which generally occur Tuesday nights at 9:00 p.m., and are expected to commit 5-10 hours per semester to Ambassador events.
Application Process & Qualifications: Membership in either organization is open to all Honors students in good standing in the Honors Program. If you are unsure of your standing, please schedule a MyPlan appointment with an Honors advisor.
Due Dates & Timeline:
- Applications are due by Sunday, October 28 at 11:59 p.m.
- Interviews will be held in early November.
