Fall Break 2022: CityBuild 2040 in Grand Island

Warning

Submissions for this form are closed.

Join your fellow Honors students and NCPA college scholars for an overnight Fall Break service trip to Grand Island, Nebraska on October 17 and 18.

You'll work with students in grades K-8 on a two-day after-school "future city build" activity. Using engaging curriculum developed by Beyond School Bells (see "CityBuild 2040"), you and your peers will help students design and create the cardboard city of their dreams.

In addition, you will mentor and work alongside local high school students, learn about Grand Island's economic development and network with community leaders, and form deeper connections with UNL students and staff.

UNL students participating in the entire service trip, and pre-trip training, will earn $300. In addition, transportation, lodging, and meals will be provided.
