Cooper Conversation: Emerging Transportation

Warning

Submissions for this form are closed.

This Cooper Conversation will focus on the state of local public transportation, emerging and innovative transportation, and transportation’s role in sustainability. Lack of access to public transportation is a global issue, and by discussing the state of public transportation, its challenges, and creative solutions, students and panelists will engage in intentional conversations about the future of transportation, and related systems. The topic ties to this year’s E. N. Thompson Forum on World Issues theme, "Creativity to Solve Global Challenges."

This conversation will feature:

  • Dr. Abigail Cochran, Assistant Professor, Community & Regional Planning

  • Elizabeth Elliott, Director of Transportation and Utilities, City of Lincoln Transportation and Utilities

  • Dr. Aemal Khattak, Professor and Director, Mid-America Transportation Center, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering

  • Kayla Kruske, StarTran Analyst and Founder of SustainLNK

Campus and community guests will briefly share their stories and perspectives, and then continue the conversation in small groups with students.
