Cooper Conversation: Global Starts with Local

At this Cooper Conversation, entitled "Global Starts with Local," we will consider how global experiences and perspectives are integrated into local initiatives and practices. This conversation will feature 6-8 campus and community leaders focused on immigration and/or refugees, from organizations such as Catholic Social Services, Community Crops, Juniper Refuge, Lincoln Literacy, and Nebraska Appleseed. As a tie to this year’s E. N. Thompson Forum on World Issues theme, we will also explore how our guests' work relates to racial inclusion and equity in our city. The leaders will share their background and expertise and then continue the conversation with small groups of students, rotating tables so students have a chance to visit with 2-3 leaders.
