We are still working with Registration and Records to determine how all of this will transpire. Please be patient. Thank you. OUS Research Night: If you want to learn more about how to become involved in research at the University, plan to attend the Office of Undergraduate Studies Research night! Dr. Laura Damuth, Director of Undergraduate Research, will be on hand to talk about the many ways students can become engaged in research, and specifically about UNL's UCARE Program. After Dr. Damuth speaks, Dr. Karen Lyons and Dr. Madhavan Soundararajan will discuss the undergraduate thesis for the Honors Program. Nov. 17, 5:30-6:30 in the City Campus Union Advising Reminder: With MyRed, it's very important that, if you contact Dr. Berger, Dr. Lyons, Dr. Madhavan or Ann Koopmann with an advising question, you include your Student ID number. Otherwise, we may have difficulty accessing your information. Student Lounge: The student lounge in Neihardt 118H is open Monday-Friday from 8 am-5 pm. It is also open Sunday-Thursday 5 pm-10 pm. This includes the thesis library, resources for preparing for graduate school, and other valuable items. Make good use of it-it's there for you! Community Corner: Each Wednesday from 4:00-5:00 pm, one of the Honors directors will be in the student lounge to visit with students. Wednesday, November 17 is the last one this semester. Community Corner will resume in January. Take advantage of this opportunity to come to know your administrators! Computer Lab Policies: -The Honors Program computer lab is for the use of Honors Program students only. Students who are not members of the Honors Program should use other computer labs on campus, regardless of where they live. Please cooperate with this policy. -Remember you must provide your own paper for the lab. -Please be considerate of the other students working on computers hooked to the printer you're using in order to work out the printing jobs successfully. -It is wise to put contact information on flash drives; in the event you leave one in the computer lab, someone will be able to return it to you. -To open PDFs and other documents from Blackboard, you may need to use Internet Explorer, not Firefox. -Please take precautions to prevent the spread of germs: use hand sanitizer before and after using the lab computers. -If the toner is out in one of the printers or if another problem with the printers or the lab arises, please inform the main Honors office.
