Computer lab: Paper usage has been extremely high, and a great deal of waste is occurring. Free printing is a privilege, not a right, and if the high level of waste continues we will have to limit the amount of paper we place in the computer lab. Some tips: * Print ONLY information relevant to academic issues, no items for co-curricular activities or personal emails, etc. * Print ONLY what you need from a website: copy and paste that portion into a Word document and save pertinent information only. * Hit the "print" button ONLY ONCE: you may have to wait a few minutes if other print jobs are in the print queue ahead of you. Check all printers. * DO NOT admit non-Honors Program students into the lab, and DO NOT print information for them. Unauthorized people discovered using the lab will be referred to the UNL Office of Judicial Affairs, as will whoever allowed them to do so. * Recycle and use recycled paper for drafts of papers. * DO NOT take paper from the lab for use in your own printers. * Please be certain to pick up only your jump drives-several people have lost them recently. Check any you have to be sure they're yours, and return any which aren't to the main HP office. It's also wise to save any documents to your student account or email them to yourself, just in case a jump drive should disappear.
