We hope you had a wonderful summer and are excited to be on campus and in classes again. Before the end of drop/add today, be sure to check the Honors website to be certain you're taking the appropriate number of Honors hours. The Nebraska Colloquium, consisting of Honors Forums, E.N. Thompson Lectures and Lied events, is open to all students. If you are interested in receiving 1 hour of Honors credit for attending a majority of the events and writing response papers to them, please contact Dr. Berger at pberger1@unl.edu for more information. Please use restraint in printing in the Honors Computer Lab. Paper is expensive and waste was extremely high last week. Print only what you absolutely must, not entire websites. If you need part of a website, copy and paste it into Word. Limit printing to academic purposes only: do NOT print personal emails, information for co-curricular activities, or other non-school related items. If this level of waste continues, free printing may be removed. Remember, textbooks must be purchased on your N-Card in order to utilize the textbook scholarship. Those charges will be posted on your first bill. If you have questions about the purchasing process, see Dan Smith in the UNL Bookstore. Honors Program planners are available for all students for $5.00. See Ann Koopmann. If you are having trouble getting into the Honors Computer Lab, please see Marlene in the main Honors Program Office or Ann Koopmann. Applications for Homecoming Royalty are now available in the ASUN office or online on the ASUN website. All applicants must be full time students, have completed at least 75 hours and carry at least a 3.0 GPA. Deadline for application is 1:00pm Sept. 25. Interested in studying abroad in Belgium or Wales? Contact Dr. Lyons at klyons2@unl.edu for more information.
