It's an early deadline, so don't miss it. -- Call for Proposals for UCARE 2005-06 The UCARE application deadline for the 2005-06 Academic Year will be Friday, February 11, 2005. Application forms are on the UCARE website as fillable PDFs. An online application and submission form is also available. Faculty have been submitting opportunities to the UCARE website for students to browse. Please take a look at: http://www.unl.edu/ucare/positions.html For more information please contact Dr. Laura Damuth (472-5024 or Ldamuth1@unl.edu). -- The UNL summer study abroad program spring fair will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 25 in the City Campus Union from 11-2. -- There is still room in the King Arthur trip. See Arthurian sites in England, visit Oxford, London and Paris. It's a wonderful way to earn Honors credit! Contact Dr. Lyons for more information. -- The Honors "Semester" in Seattle this summer still has room. See Dr. Lyons for information. -- Honors students nationwide are eligible, on a space-available basis, to participate in this summer's four-week long Greece Study Tour, being co-led for the third time by professors of history and of philosophy from St. Mary's College of Maryland, the public honors college for the state of Maryland. There is quite a bit of information about the Greece Study Tour available at www.smcm.edu/users/mstaber/Greece/index.htm, including electronic application forms (which are processed on rolling basis, but are due no later than January 31). The theme for this year's Greece Study Tour is "Human Agonistes,"more about which is posted on the "Course Description" page on the website, and the course is worth four semester-hours of credit. In addition to the credits transferring to your home institution, we can provide documentation that your home institution might need in order to transfer the credits as honors-bearing. -- The payment due dates are the NINTH of each month (February, March, & April). Thus, even if you submit your application on the last possible day, we would still have a couple of dates in which to evaluate your application and notify you; so if your application is successful, you would still have a week in which to arrange the first payment (of $1650 by Feb. 9). There is more information about the payments on the website. -- We Want You to be a host for US! HONORS OVERNIGHT 2005 FEBRUARY 10-11 (February 10 at 7:30 p.m. until February 11 at 11:30 a.m.) Would you be interested in sharing your time and experience with a prospective honors student?
