We hope you had a good break and are ready to tackle the new semester. -- If you are interested in attending the Martin Luther King, Jr. Freedom Breakfast on Friday, January 16 (this week), please contact Dr. Lyons immediately. -- Important notice: a change in policy with respect to contracts. Each semester, a few people, in agreement with faculty members, decide not to complete the contract portion of a class. As always, the faculty member is the person to decide how to proceed in this instance. However, we will no longer allow this change to occur after the Friday which falls two weeks before the end of classes. After that time, the Honors designation will stand and the grade in the Honors class will be affected. Of course, the faculty member always has the option to give an Incomplete. -- Honors Overnight 2004: Feb. 5-6 Would you be interested in sharing your time and experience with a prospective honors student from 7:30 Thursday evening until 11:30 Friday morning?. You will pick your student up in Neihardt, participate in activities in the evening, and take your guest to class with you on Friday morning. If you would like to do so, contact Joan Kunzman (mkunzman2@unl.edu) in the Office of Admissions. Please include your name, address, e-mail, phone number(s) and major. -- Help improve the Honors Program!
