Please DO NOT REMOVE any items from that room. If you have borrowed some to use, please RETURN THEM IMMEDIATELY. We continue to find food scraps in various rooms, and this problem is escalating as the semester rolls toward conclusion. Apparently there was a cookie fight in 2103, and we've found oranges smeared on windows in one of the study rooms. This facility is unique on campus, and we are privileged to have such wonderful resources. We do not want to limit access to them, particularly at this time of year, but will do so if these problems continue. -- Dr. Partridge will be teaching a one-hour 198H in the spring semester for sophomores who are working toward identifying their thesis topics. It will involve finding a thesis mentor/advisor, outlining the project, and starting the thesis. Meeting time: Thursdays, 4:00-5:00. Contact him at James E Partridge/Plant/IANR/UNEBR@University of Nebraska for more information. -- Two sections of UHON 395H offered in the Spring semester of 2004 have a good deal of room in them: Contemporary American Drama, MW 1:30-2:45, and English: Writing Style, TR 4:30-5:45. Either, though particularly the latter, is appropriate for sophomores and even second semester first year students. Consider either of those to fulfill Honors credits for this academic year. If you do take UHON 395H as a sophomore, you will have fulfilled that requirement; however, remember that you'll still need to take at least 3 hours of Honors credit in your junior year. UHON 395H, Introduction to Coastal Marine Studies, still has room. The deadline to commit to the course, which is offered in June, is December 15. Offered on the coast of Maine, the class is a field research experience set in one of the most beautiful areas of the U.S. Prior biology experience is not necessary.
