Call for NEW UCARE Project Proposals, AY 2003-04 The Office of Undergraduate Studies is announcing a call for the next round of UCARE proposals for the academic year 2003-04. These one-year only awards will be available to students from October 15, 2003 until June 30, 2004. The application deadline for these one-year only awards is Friday, October 3. The Office of Academic Support and Intercultural Services (OASIS) located at the Culture Center 333 North 14th Street, invites students, faculty and staff to join them on September 16th for Fiesta on the Green, a celebration of the Mexican Independence Day. This free event will take place at the green in front of the City Union Plaza from 5pm to 9pm. There will be a carnival, food and performances by the Mariachi Zapata and Sangre Azteca dance group. Anyone interested in serving on the Council of Students should apply through ASUN and Student Involvement or contact Dr. Lyons. -- Antelope Valley project necessitates parking consolidations Effective Monday, Sept. 15, the Area 28 commuter student reserved parking lot on W Street will be consolidated with the Area 17C lot in the mall east of Memorial Stadium. This will not create an over-capacity situation. Based on true events that took place here in Lincoln, In the Heart of the Beast uses Bunraku-style puppets and handcrafted masks to tell this tale. The performance will be held in Kimball Recital Hall as part of the Lied Center's season.
