No, absolutely not. We recognize that not all school systems are able to provide a variety of advanced placement classes or similar academic enrichment. It is important, however, to demonstrate that you have challenged yourself to the utmost your school system will allow.
No, the UHP does not guarantee admission to the program based on scores or a formula. We want to see evidence of commitment to scholarship and investment in both your education and the process of application.
The UHP is obviously looking for very high caliber students. While standardized test scores are one way to measure a person's ability, they are not our only consideration and we read carefully your response to our application questions. However, if your ACT scores are not as strong as those of others in the program, the rest of your application needs to demonstrate clearly that your intellectual abilities are very strong.

No, should you apply and be admitted to the Jeffrey S. Raikes School of Computer Science and Management, you will automatically be a University Honors Program student as well and have access to all UHP classes and activities. However, you will be required to fulfill Jeffrey S. Raikes School of Computer Science and Management academic requirements rather than University Honors Program requirements.
Many people who know you can write good letters of recommendation. However, since this program is academically oriented, you should choose those people who know you well in an academic context.
